NEVA Exhibitor TRANSAS announces appointment of new CEO

Transas, a global leader in high-tech equipment, software and system integration for the maritime industry, announced the appointment of Mr. Frank Coles to the position of Chief Executive Officer and member of the Board of Directors for Transas Marine during NEVA 2015 on 22 September 2015.

Coles is a maritime business professional with extensive leadership experience in maritime operations and technology. Most recently, Coles has been advising a number of blue chip private equity companies on maritime opportunities, prior to that he was President of Inmarsat Maritime, leading the division through a return to growth and integration of several acquisitions. Previously, Coles held the position of CEO of Globe Wireless during a period of significant growth in the development of innovative hardware and software solutions. Coles has also served 12 years at sea and spent 5 years as a maritime lawyer, as well as holding the position of Operations Director for Pacific Basin Bulk Shipping in Hong Kong. Coles is a Master Mariner, and holds a Masters Degree in Maritime Law from the University of Wales, Cardiff.
